Dr. Mark Sanna: The Language of DC/MD Collaboration: Putting Patients First Many chiropractors are under the misperception that medical doctors think poorly of them. This is a not true. For the most part, medical doctors don't think about chiropractic at all. In this presentation you'll learn about the current state of chiropractic and medical collaboration. Due to the opioid crisis, medical physicians and chiropractors are working more closely together than ever before. And yet, it remains difficult to break down the silos that separate the two professions. This presentation, designed to be shared with both medical physicians and lay audiences in your community, clearly presents the case for medical and chiropractic collaboration. We will review the latest information in terms of chiropractic utilization, patient satisfaction, and affordability in relation to other healthcare pathways. We will present a compelling case that puts chiropractic at the forefront of the drug-free, conservative approach to spinal health and well-being.

10:45 AM - 12:00 PM

Dr. Morgan Mullican: Documentation Domination Do your notes reflect care as medically necessary? Claims payments and ongoing care plans rely on the ability of your chart notes to demonstrate care as medically necessary. There are key elements that are required by all carriers. Learn how to implement and easily demonstrate these factors. This session covers 2019 updates for cash and insurance coding and documentation. We will cover how to format, produce and be compliant with your documentation requirements including protocols and forms to aid in establishing medical necessity. We'll review how, when and why to use standard outcome assessment tools. This highly informative session will be the best investment in your practice prosperity.

Wendy Lee, CPCO: HIPAA Security: Are You Secure? In this seminar, we'll take a fascinating look at the following real-life situations and reveal exactly how they should be handled to remain in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and protect your patients' rights. It is easy to overlook key issues while accessing, storing and transferring sensitive patient records. If you think you’re hearing about a company getting hacked almost every day, that’s because you’re correct — there were over 1,300 significantly damaging breaches of large businesses last year. That’s more than three per day on average, and that’s only counting the ones that were reported publicly. Unfortunately, hacks are occurring at an ever-increasing rate and the trove of information housed in your EHR is in the crosshairs. This course is designed to help you protect the rights of your patients, while also protecting your practice from non-compliance accusations and complaints.

4:00 - 5:00 PM

Dr. Mark Sanna: Ignite Your Passion and Performance Learn secrets of motivation being unlocked by researchers. Dr. Sanna has turned these scientific insights into tried and true tools. Leaders can use them to motivate your teams. Jam-pack your communication with these tools to calm fears and energize passion. Even influence those over you have little power over by using these neuroscience nuggets. Become a master of motivation. Ignite passion for goals, involve people in meaningful ways, and inspire the action you need. You will learn practical, easy-to-follow steps that will stop those old, limiting stories in your head and unlock the confidence and passion inside. Be the best of who you are by learning to “prime” your brain to get your brain chemistry on your side. In this session, you’ll learn how to shift from being your own worst enemy to increasing confidence. You’ll change the old limiting stories playing in your head, to “inner movies” that supercharge you for success.

Wendy Lee, CPCO: The Sure-Fire Way to Hire, Keep & Motivate Outstanding Staff! One of most valuable skills you can hone is the ability to engage and inspire the members of your practice team. When you hire the right people and manage them well, the result is a practice team characterized by outstanding performance and growth. On the other hand, failure to motivate your employees can lead to an unwelcome turnover and keep your practice in a constant state of flux and chaos. Being a practice owner and team leader is so much more rewarding when your team is motivated to exceed expectations and genuinely care about the work they are doing. Putting in a little time every day to engage with your employees and remind them of their value to the organization will not only add positivity to their day but to yours as well. In this session, you’ll learn the best strategies to keep your team motivated!

9:45 - 11:00 AM

Dr. Morgan Mullican: The Top 5 Strategies to Diversify Your Practice Income You have probably heard the quote “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” many times before. However, it applies to your practice income more than most things. Multiple streams of income can be one of our greatest allies in the pursuit of the financial security of your practice. It’s easy to get bogged down by all the different ways to increase your income that are possible. You might spend so much time trying to find the best way that you never get started. In this bottom-line session, you’ll learn the top 5 strategies that you and your practice team can implement right away to diversify your practice income. Combat decreasing third-party reimbursement by opening the door to new financial opportunities.
